Grimsby sucks
Well your council does anyhow. It is now officially the WORST in England. Check the CPA scores hear if you can be bothered; but basically for the second time out of three national reviews conducted, N E Lincs got the lowest rating achievable. That means the senior management which has been fired and replaced once, will need firing again!

If you ever feel the need to complain about your council, rest assured it's entirely justified; and they are the laughing stock of the country.

There was a big report yesterday about this on t'radio, and its actually based on last year and the year before.
How can you trust an audit done by the numpties in the civil services anyway?
We were £5 million in debt so most of the old council got kicked out early this year and replaced, headed by George Crawlec who used to run somewhere down south and apparently did a good job. Anyway, things are looking up, and his necks on the line if it isn't. Having said that, I'm not sure what they base these factors on. My bins still get emptied. :)
I Hull are on 1 point though.
Lets face it, most of the council leaders are only there to further they're own agenda, and its not as if the grimsby public are interested in voting for who gets in at the council. :|
All national audits are based on comparable national data that is not less than a year old, simply a fact of life, the glib answer that council leaders give that it's based on old information doesn't hold water when they have had longer than the audit period to improve service. And you can bet it'd all be a different story if they were any good. Next years audit will be tougher still, so good luck with any changes.
BTW Bradford is a 3 star council, and Leeds is 4
