Iraq Gun Porn: Which Guns Suck, Which Guns Rock

from the link

6) The M2 .50 cal heavy machine gun: Thumbs way, way up. "Ma deuce" is still
worth her considerable weight in gold. The ultimate fight stopper, puts
their dicks in the dirt every time. The most coveted weapon in-theater.

just for you dean. :)

Red Bull Rail Storm

Twas very good. The setup was entirely artificial unlike some of the previous years, and was effing huge!

Five different rails at the base of a 45 deg. drop in; down about 20 steps, I'll get pictures up later. Tricks of the night were probably a frontside lip to frontside board to pretzel 270 out (or in SSX style terms: X, L+L1, X, R+R1, X, R; but for real) and Brit Tyler Chorlton doing front flips down the stairs in practice.

Riders of the night for me were Mike Cassanova (WHAT a name!), Hekki Sorsa and Kareem Elrafie. The Brit pro's did us proud but got knocked out in the semi's, sadly the only injury of the night was a brit with mild concussion.

The result was: 1st America; 2nd Finland; 3rd Sweden.

Rather drunk, met lots of mates, trundled home to Bratfud at 2am.

Top night.

Xbox 360

Meh.
Had a unit on display in the local Bestbuy.
Graphics seem ok. Lots of bump mapping, smooth(ish, the castle game they had running had a couple of stutters with massive scene change).
Nothing that even a mid range pc wouldn't handle with ease.
Controllers usual stuff (rebadged Dreamcast). They'll have the headstart over the ps3, but unless drastic stuff happens, not impressed so far.
The racing game thingy looks ok, but not my thing and it's not hard to make them look good. Even Burnout Legends on Psp looks great to me. Bit of environmental reflection and I'm happy.
Funny enough, the new nintendo thingy with the wacky controller looks like more fun to me. If they get it working right (as reports are coming in that they are), the first StarWars game with a lightsabre is going to pwn.

Insurance Cuntanies.

Well, as you may or may not know, tones had her bike nicked a few times last year, the freezer blew up then the garage got broken into and her bike was nicked again. From not having any claims in 5 years, we then have 4 in two years.
Our current insurance company then contact us and say we can't renew your insurance, as you've claimed 4 times in 2 years. I think 'WTF' then just go to another insurance company.

So, I'm ringing round for insurance, and oddly enough we can't get any. If you've had more than three claims in three years, most companies automatically won't touch you, regardless of what they are and how much it was. They're more than happy to advertise their crap on the telly and through your door, but if you've been the victim of crime a few times, then you're business isn't welcome. Its not as if we've had claims refused or anything like that, or claimed for the old TV-falling-down-the-stairs / paint-on-the-carpet routines.

I've done a lot of ringing around last week and we eventually found one company willing to give us some buildings + contents insurance, but they wanted over £700, so we've only got buildings at the minute. Even if we had contents and then made a claim, we wouldn't be able to as there's no way we'd get insurance for the next time. :(

You get insurance to prevent you from getting your stuff robbed, but then if it does get robbed you won't get insurance! Grrrr.

Just so everyone feels informed

Me and Sue finally got engaged.

About three weeks ago now as the crow flys, but we wanted to tell certain people first so no announcements on here, until this.

Dates not decided; locations not decided, etc. But Sue said yes and it will happen sooner rather then later.

Ok so last night was Flogging Molly and Millencolin in Leeds; which was EXCELLENT

Flogging Molly made a 1500 crowd venue feel like your local Scruffy Murphy's on a Friday night; Whilst Millencolin were just so polished!

Proper good night out.

Tonight One Car Pile Up are Playing the Fenton in Leeds, might go take a look too!

That's all for now folks...
