Bienveidos Grimsby
Week of chaos. Knew it wasn't going to go smooth when was sat on the tarmac in Miami for about an hour and a half, then circling JFK for another hour and a half. Plane to England had left 30 mins before I'd even touched down. Then with trapsing through to sort tickets out, having to go outside the departures area, meaning a security search to get back in, and losing all the drinks I'd bought.
Paying extra on my tickets to goto Manchester as its easier, but having to fly to LHR. Course, my luggage still made it to Manchester without me. Least the trains out of London ran ok. Was expecting track repair for ages. So rather than being home safe by about 10 o'clock, was 6 in the evening I made it through the door. So much for a quick kip and hitting a pub/Gullies.
Least I had Sam alot. Had great time playing Soul Calibur and teaching him tricks to Super Mario 2. Much cred was earned in the eyes of the young 'un.
Took a week to empty the house. Kinda wierd to see all main belongings fitting into so small an area on the removals truck. Was cleared of furniture in a few minutes. The junk took a couple more days todo. Luckily my bro has a mate who collects all the same sort of computer junk I do, so managed to fill a garage up with all sorts of stuff. The week flew by so quickly. Still, saw Sam most evenings, and family was pleased to see him too. He's not changed much, still the lovely temperament he inherited from me I think.
Friday came around too quick again, flight back was as bumpy as heck, shear terror for most of it. Still not used to it.
Back in Miami, weather lovely (bit crisp, had to wear socks last night) and wondering what to blow the house profits on. Maybe it's time to get some transport to scoot around in.
Really wish I'd of had more time to see more people. 2 weeks and it'd still of been rushed. Felt totally grotty the whole time that didn't make me want to go out beering it up, but with the amount of Sam time, the lack of booze wasn't missed.
Laters peeps.
